like choosing a shirt
in a catalogue
or checking points
on a list of variables

And yet,
if you exist,
if I ever meet you,
I’d love You to be

sensual and humourous
spiritual and intelligent
involved and active
loving my spicy food
and breathing fresh mountain air
loving me for who I am
with my perks and
occasional craziness
my transness
and my culture(s)

You would be
tattooed and
with an air of indomitable
POC or BIPOC
is more than just
the icing on the cake

I know it’s a lot to ask
but one may dream
dream that someone like you
could exist
could love me

I know this is not a list
with points to check
it is just a dream
hoping that some day
someone will love me
for all that I am.
