I have read
that there should be a time limit
on reconnection
a deadline
to finding out
on who you are

That you shouldn’t mention
those you are not sure of
So I’m taking down
I’m still multitribal
but I’m only leaving up
those that I know for sure
and carry the others in my heart
those that might-be

I comprehend
there are those who take away
making money with false claims
who harm and prey
take from those in need
I just want to honor my ancestors
do I have to choose between them all?
