A hug, not a kiss

One-hour long shower until my skin burns red
Scrubbing my skin with disinfectant
A behavior I so well know from a time long ago, one I thought forgotten – unlearned

As I lay in my bed wanting to cry with no tears to come – they have dried up long ago
As I lay in my bed, craving gentle touch by a person I trust, leaving behind your boundary breaking gesture

Did you mean well, did you not, did you think, did you not? It does not matter, it is all the same for the chaos it creates, for without consent it was done

It still affects me, but I choose to move forwards
Should you ever try again –
You better don’t.
